This is an excelling piece. You're really becoming one of my favorite artists in general. Recognize you've really tapped into something magickal. I know I've probably payed you enough compliments -- but I want to signal more than a compliment here, I want to express that you've found your way to a domain of mind that I would say is a magick-wielding property -- this is the kind of art I breathe for. You're doing what artists are supposed to do, man, you're using that fire to burn down the walls, to create something anachronistic to everything mundane and constrictive. You're part of the silent, esoteric revolution that's been underway for the past 7000 years or so.

Okay I'll stop kissing you now -- short of one more practical thing to say. The reason I'm probably writing so at length and as enthusiastically is because my day was embittered with hours of shitty work, a cycling discomfort with the world's noise, disturbingly superficial sleep, and all the other insignificant things that keep us seeing dimly and feeling thinly, and the fortunate, synchronous mix of putting on Electric Wizard's Let Us Prey and the discovery of this piece of yours just freakin' shocked me out of it. I'm trying to say here, it's heavy enough to awaken me, from work day's bitterness, from self-imposed automatism. You put my day back into a better awareness. Thanks.

Onto this piece in general though. First I want to say your human figures (and human textures) are greatly improving. This is very good because previously I think you had your humans looking, I don't know, too soft in your drawings, and now they really seem to be garnering enough detail and attention to be just as alive as your (dissolving) landscapes.

I love, and have before experienced in my life, that interplay between feeling vaccuumed to madness and the knowing that if one were to let oneself be vacuumed into madness, one would realize this in fact progression, upward moving. The familiar conventions of the doors move so fluidly between ominous destruction/life-giving force of the wind and nature, and all I can say about the birds is....they know, man....they know. There's also something about this piece that reminds me of Salvia Divinorum experiences specifically though that could very well be my own projections.

Thanks again. Keep blowing shit up with your experiments.

I would also like to note that I am currently working on 2 projects that involve significant literature accompanying my work, one of them will involve Jordan's. Have a great 4th of July! more art coming very soon.
